From Banff

Most guests choose to use the Juniper Shuttle, or cycle, drive, or order a taxi for easy access to or from town.

Walking is possible, but please note the route is unmarked, includes sections without sidewalks or lighting, and can be tricky in poor weather. Two discreet gates allow pedestrians to bypass the Texas Gates (wildlife guards in the road), but the path is not signposted.

Parking

24hr on-site parking is available at the hotel for guests.

Located just outside downtown Banff and a minute off the highway, the Juniper makes arriving easy, so you can spend less time everyday searching for parking and more time enjoying the mountains.

EV Charging

Guests travelling by electric vehicle can take advantage of EV charging stations on-site, making it easy to recharge while you relax, dine, or explore Banff National Park.

Seasonal Travel Notes

Summer Travel Notes

Summer travel through Banff can be busy, especially on weekends and around lake access points. Plan extra time for traffic, parking, and shuttle connections.

Guests heading to Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, or popular trailheads should check current access rules before leaving the hotel.

Winter Travel Notes

Winter driving can change quickly in the Rockies. Snow tires, slower travel times, and weather-aware planning are strongly recommended.

For ski days and winter tours, allow extra time for road conditions.
