What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is guaranteed from 4PM.

Front Desk is open 24 hours for late arrivals.

Early check-in cannot be guaranteed but may be requested depending on availability – please add a note to your booking or call ahead.

Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in.

Check-Out is 11AM.

Late check-out cannot be guaranteed, but may be available for an additional fee; please enquire with the Front Desk.

What is your cancellation policy?

Low Season (January 2nd – June 1st, October 16th- December 19th):

• Standard, Deluxe and King Suite room categories may be cancelled without penalty up to 72 hours ahead of check-in. Penalty for cancellations within the 72-hour period is a charge of one night room & tax.

• Cabin and Three Bedroom Suite reservations may be cancelled without penalty up to 7 days ahead of check-in. Penalty for cancellations within the 7-day period is a charge of one night room & tax.

• Advanced Purchase rates cannot be cancelled – pre-paid credit may be transferred to an alternative date, new nightly room rate will apply.

High Season (June 1st – October 15th):

• Standard, Deluxe and King Suite room categories may be cancelled without penalty up to 72 hours ahead of check-in. Penalty for cancellations within the 72-hour period is a charge of one night room & tax.

• Cabin reservations may be cancelled without penalty up to 14 days ahead of check-in. Penalty for cancellations within 14 days of arrival is the total room and tax for the entire reservation.

• Three Bedroom Suite reservations may be cancelled without penalty up to 30 days ahead of check-in. Penalty for cancellations within 30 days of arrival is the total room and tax for the entire reservation.

These policies apply to standard reservations only. Promotional rates may be subject to special terms and conditions.

Holiday Season (December 20th – Jan 5th):

• Reservations in all room categories may be cancelled without penalty up to 14 days before check-in. Penalty for cancellations within 14 days of arrival is the total room and tax for the entire reservation.

Are there any additional Taxes & Fees?

All room rates are subject to GST, provincial and local tourism levies.

Hotel Amenity Fee

An Amenity Fee of $20 per room, per night applies to all reservations.

Your amenity fee includes the following benefits:

  • Parking for the duration of your stay (outdoor, no height limits).
  • Rides to downtown Banff and transit stops in our hybrid shuttle vehicle.
  • Hiking Backpacks pre-filled with essentials including bear spray.
  • Hiking Poles, Snowshoes and Ice Cleats.
  • Guest Summer or Winter E-Bikes.
  • Wi-fi Access.

National Park Pass

All visitors to Banff National Park, irrespective of staying at a hotel, must purchase a pass for the duration of their stay. Passes for Banff may be purchased online, at the downtown Visitors Centre or the park gates.

If visiting multiple national parks during your trip (e.g. Jasper, Yoho) you may wish to purchase an annual Discovery Pass.

Cleaning & Damage Fees

In the case of damage or excessive mess/staining in guest rooms, charges will be assessed based on the cost of repair, replacement or additional cleaning. Additional charges will be processed to the credit card provided at check-in and a receipt provided.

Is breakfast included with my stay?

Room rates do not include breakfast. However, the Juniper Bistro serves breakfast and brunch Mon – Fri : 7:30am – 1:00pm  |  Sat – Sun : 7:30am – 2:00pm.

Can I request an early check-in or late checkout?

Do you have Quiet Hours?

For the comfort of all of our guests, quiet hours are enforced from 10PM to 8AM. Staff are onsite overnight to address any noise concerns.

Are pets welcome at the Hotel & Bistro?

We welcome well-behaved dogs on the Juniper patio, and many types of pet for overnight stays in select ground-floor rooms for a $25 extra cleaning fee. Please contact

Are children welcome at the hotel?

Yes, children are welcome at the hotel and the Juniper offers several Family-Friendly rooms. Search ‘Best for: Families’ on the Stay page.

What's the difference between the room categories?

Our room categories vary by size, bed configuration, view, single-room, multi-room suite or cabin, and included features. Choose up to four rooms to compare each room’s details and find the option that best suits your stay, whether you’re looking for extra space, mountain views, or a unique forest cabin stay. Which room has the best mountain views?

Many of our room types offer mountain views and are listed as ‘Mountain View’, but the outlook can vary depending on the room category and location within the hotel. Check the room descriptions and gallery for the best indication of the view you can expect.

Can I request a specific view, floor or other special request?

We’ll do our best to accommodate special requests, including preferred floors, or room locations. Mountain View rooms are listed as such, whereas Forest View rooms do not face the iconic Juniper view. While requests cannot be guaranteed, we encourage guests to let us know their preferences before arrival.

Do all rooms have climate control?

Yes, all rooms have adjustable climate control.

Is it worth upgrading to a suite?

Guests who choose a suite enjoy additional living space and extra room features. If you’re staying for several nights or celebrating a special occasion, a suite can provide a more comfortable experience.

Are accessible rooms available?

Yes, accessible accommodations are available. View the Queen Accessible room or learn more about Accessibility at the Juniper Hotel & Bistro.

Will my room look exactly like the photos?

Photos represent the room category you’ve selected. Individual rooms may vary slightly in layout, furnishings, and décor.
