Do I need a reservation?

Reservations are recommended, particularly during weekends, holidays, and peak travel periods over summer and winter. Walk-ins are always welcome when space is available.

Is the patio open year-round?

Our patio is seasonal and weather dependent. During the warmer months, guests can enjoy the Juniper’s unforgettable mountain views while dining outdoors. In winter, the patio is open for Fireside Sunset events and s’mores.

Is the Bistro only for hotel guests?

Not at all! The Juniper Bistro welcomes both locals and visitors, whether you’re staying at the Juniper Hotel or simply looking for a memorable dining experience in Banff.

Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Yes. We offer vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other dietary options. Please let your server know about any allergies or dietary requirements, and we’ll do our best to accommodate them. When viewing the menus on our website, use the filters to explore dietary options.

What are your most popular dishes?

Our menu changes seasonally, but guests often gravitate towards dishes that showcase regional ingredients, house-made elements, and Chef Sergio’s creative approach to mountain dining. Visitors from abroad have the opportunity to experience Bison, and enjoy our Bison Tasting. Locally, the Juniper is known as a favourite Brunch destination in the valley, with our Egg and Vegan Bennies proving particularly popular.

Do you offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner?

Yes. We combine our Breakfast and Lunch offerings onto one Brunch Menu. Please check our current hours, as service periods and additional specials vary seasonally. We regularly update our operating hours and menus online.

Is the patio dog-friendly?

Dogs are very welcome on the patio, provided they remain leashed and well-behaved. Water bowls, dog biscuits and Puppuccinos are offered upon request.

Do you have a children's menu?

Yes, we offer options suitable for younger diners, found at the bottom of our online Brunch and Dinner menus. Families are always welcome at the Juniper Bistro.

Can I just stop in for drinks?

Absolutely. Whether you’d like a local craft beer, a glass of Canada’s Okanagan wine, a seasonal cocktail, or a non-alcoholic option, you’re welcome to join us for drinks and the view in the Bistro Lounge, the main Bistro, or out on the patio.

Is parking available?

Yes, complimentary parking is available for Bistro guests including Accessible designated and EV Charging spaces. Just off the highway and with plenty of spaces; the Juniper offers the easiest stress-free parking in Banff.

Is there a dress code?

The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and we love when guests are coming straight from days filled with activities. Most guests opt for smart casual attire, but mountain casual is always welcome.

Can I request a table with a view?

We’ll do our best to accommodate seating requests whenever possible, though specific tables cannot be guaranteed.

What's the best time to visit?

Sunrise breakfasts and sunset dinners each offer a unique experience. Many guests particularly enjoy visiting on a winter’s afternoon for sunset, when the mountain views are at their most dramatic and pink alpenglow can be seen on the summits.
