What's the best time to visit?

Sunrise breakfasts and sunset dinners each offer a unique experience. Many guests particularly enjoy visiting on a winter’s afternoon for sunset, when the mountain views are at their most dramatic and pink alpenglow can be seen on the summits.

Which room has the best mountain views?

Many of our room types offer mountain views and are listed as ‘Mountain View’, but the outlook can vary depending on the room category and location within the hotel. Check the room descriptions and gallery for the best indication of the view you can expect.

Are e-bikes included in amenities?

Yes, summer and winter E-bikes are included in your amenities for the first three hours of rental. That’s plenty of time to get you there and back on the Bow Valley Parkway, to and from Lake Minnewanka, or around Banff!

Are accessible rooms available?

Yes, accessible accommodations are available. View the Queen Accessible room or learn more about Accessibility at the Juniper Hotel & Bistro.

Are children welcome at the hotel?

Yes, children are welcome at the hotel and the Juniper offers several Family-Friendly rooms. Search ‘Best for: Families’ on the Stay page.

Can I request a specific view, floor or other special request?

We’ll do our best to accommodate special requests, including preferred floors, or room locations. Mountain View rooms are listed as such, whereas Forest View rooms do not face the iconic Juniper view. While requests cannot be guaranteed, we encourage guests to let us know their preferences before arrival.

Can I request an early check-in or late checkout?

Early check-in and late checkouts are subject to availability. There is no charge, but we cannot guarantee they are available. Please contact

for requests.

Can you help us plan our adventures?

Absolutely! Our team are locals and choose to live in Banff because it’s incredible! As a guest you get access to our custom itineraries as well as personalised recommendations when you chat to the Front Desk. We’ll help you find the iconic places you came for – Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, the Icefields Parkway – as well as the hidden gems you didn’t expect…

Do I need a Park Pass?

As we are located in Banff National Park, park passes are required to be displayed in your vehicle. Park passes can be purchased at the park gates or in downtown Banff at the Information Centre.

Is the Bistro only for hotel guests?

Not at all! The Juniper Bistro welcomes both locals and visitors, whether you’re staying at the Juniper Hotel or simply looking for a memorable dining experience in Banff.
